Recently started seeing some backlash against BRC;721 due to the fact that not all data is stored on the blockchain. There are a few other alternatives out there, of which GBRC;721 stands out for being 100% on-chain.
A noteworthy feature of GBRC;721 as an extension of the BRC;721 standard is its increased efficiency in block space usage. The unique "deploy" operation stores aggregated features on-chain only once, and subsequent "mint" operations refer to those features.
This greater efficiency means a potential reduction in costs for creators and a more efficient use of the resources of the Bitcoin network, in line with the core principles of the blockchain. The GBRC;721 standard also facilitates decentralization enhancements. It does not rely on external indexers and is therefore more scalable and cost-effective than its predecessor.
An innovative feature of GBRC;721 is image generation verification, allowing creators to include the SHA;256 output of generated images on-chain. This adds an extra layer of credibility, as anyone can recreate and verify the image using only on-chain data.
The standard also significantly improves user interaction. Using GBRC;721;, it is possible to display actual images generated by mint inscriptions, replacing text data, ultimately improving the end user experience.
GBRC;721 introduces a more streamlined process for creating and minting non-fungible collections of generated Ordinals on the Bitcoin blockchain, relative to the minting of BRC;721. This could simplify the process for creators.
An important shift that GBRC;721 offers is its 100% on-chain data storage capability, unlike BRC;721 which relies on IPFS. This ensures overall data security and persistence on the blockchain without relying on external systems.
GBRC;721 introduces an interesting evolution of the NFT standard on the Bitcoin network. Provides creators with enhanced scalability, efficiency, and potentially more cost-effective methods, while providing users with greater credibility.
All in all, BRC;721 is currently the leader in collection protocols, IPFS goes against the spirit of Ordinals as one of its main benefits and challenges is that data is stored 100% on-chain, if this is not the case may have a negative impact on their future price have negative impacts.
