Arbitrum Long-term Incentive Pilot Program Approved, 45.815 million ARB Will Be Used for Ecological Incentives

On January 17, the Arbitrum community voted on the long-term incentive pilot program. Finally, the proposal to allocate 45.815 million ARB was approved with a support rate of 57.49%. Among them, 45 million ARB will be used for ecological incentives, and 815,000 ARB will be used to subsidize personnel involved in various tasks.

Arbitrum pilot program vote passed, 45.815 million ARB opens a new chapter of incentives

Previously, Arbitrum launched a short-term incentive program (STIP) lasting several months. According to data statistics, STIP brought significant growth to the Arbitrum ecosystem. Taking decentralized exchanges (DEX) as an example, daily active user numbers increased by 118.72%, total value locked (TVL) increased by 49.24%, and trading volume increased by 333.28%.

The new pilot program will make several improvements based on STIP:

  1. The incentive mechanism is more flexible, encouraging protocols to explore diverse incentive schemes.

  2. Introduce a 5-member committee responsible for the preliminary evaluation of the application projects.

  3. Establish the role of application advisor to provide detailed feedback and guidance to applicants.

The application process is divided into 5 stages: application period (2 weeks), feedback period (2 weeks), screening period (1 week), voting period (1 week), and incentive period (12 weeks). Approved agreements will receive the allocated ARB every two weeks through the Hedgey flow within 12 weeks.

Arbitrum pilot program vote passed, 45.815 million ARB opens a new chapter of incentives

In addition to the 45 million ARB used for ecological incentives, 815,000 ARB will be used to reward members who participate in the work, including committee members, application consultants, researchers, data analysis providers, and others.

It is worth noting that although the community vote has passed, a subsequent on-chain vote on Tally is required to finalize the allocation of funds. Specific protocols that will receive incentives and how the incentives will be distributed are expected to take more than a month and a half to determine.
