CoinVoice has learned that, according to Jin10, U.S. Treasury Secretary Basent stated that there is currently "no rush" to determine the successor to Fed Chairman Powell, and the candidates may come from current committee members or regional bank presidents. Basent said on a television program on Wednesday: "There are many strong candidates, including several key committee members, and possibly regional bank presidents." He did not disclose specific names.

According to reports, Besant himself, White House National Economic Council Director Hassett, former Fed Governor Kevin Walsh, and current Fed Governor Waller are all among the candidates nominated by Trump for the chair position. Besant said, "There is a long, long list." He stated, "I do not intend to discuss this process, but we are moving forward with it, and obviously, this will be President Trump's decision, and we are not in a hurry."
