Trump's "Great Beautiful Act" has passed, but it does not include encryption tax incentives.
According to CoinVoice's latest news and a report by Decrypt, the U.S. Senate narrowly passed the "Great American Outdoors Act" proposed by President Trump, but it did not include amendments aimed at providing tax relief for encryption miners and retail users.
In the final hours of intense negotiations before the bill was passed, pro-encryption lawmakers and industry policy leaders, led by Senator Cynthia Lummis from Wyoming, worked hard to attach an amendment containing multiple tax incentives related to encryption to the bill. These incentives covered crypto miners, stakers, businesses holding large amounts of cryptocurrency, and ordinary digital asset users. However, time ultimately ran out, and the amendment failed to make it to the Senate's review stage. A leader in crypto policy described the outcome as a "missed opportunity" and stated that they "just ran out of time."
